In 1998 they recognized an opportunity to unlock the extraordinary potential of Malbec. The team of winemakers set out with the goal of revealing its vibrant, velvety character and the intense flavors of Malbec grown at the foothills of the Andes. We are very proud of our country’s winemaking heritage and the unique terroir of Mendoza, and we are dedicated to crafting wines that emphasize the hallmarks of the Argento style – fruit purity, vibrancy and elegance. In 2012 they began to write a new chapter in our history, with the premise of leading the production of organic and sustainable wines to preserve in each bottle the best of this region, which has dry climate and alluvials soils, mountain water, high-altitude and sun brightness.

In 2022, Guia Descorchados, a celebrated & respected South American wine magazine (based in Chile) elected Juan Pablo Murgia, Chief Winemaker at Bodega Argento as ‘Winemaker of the Year’.
