Brut Majeur is the epitome of a non-vintage brut from a great, historic House and is the finest ambassador for the House’s freshness and elegance. Brut Majeur is a blend of 55% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier, crafted with wines from 2019, 2018, 2017 & 2016, with 43% Reserve wines, bottled with a low dosage of 6gr/L.  The fruit of a tailor-made blend, Brut Majeur includes more than 70 crus from all of the Champagne region.  This exceptional sourcing makes the most of the terroirs’ richness: Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Aube, Vitryat, or even Sézannais.  Pinot Noir and Chardonnay bring vinosity and delicacy together in a very harmoniously balanced blend. The complement of Pinot Meunier adds a touch of fruitiness and liveliness. Light gold, fine and abundant bubbles. Open and expressive, with delicate, unveiling notes of citrus, flowers, and white fruits. Balanced, combining freshness and vinosity, Precise, fruity, with a long finish. Champagne

Champagne Ayala is one of the longest-established champagne Houses; it has been based in Ay, at the heart of the great champagne vineyards, since it was founded in 1860. Independent and family-owned, it is still today the archetype of a great and historic House, producing top-quality wines that are enjoyed throughout the world for their freshness and elegance.

Champagne Ayala has always been a small, independent, and family-run business. After the Second World War, the House went through a rather quiet period as its leaders occupied important positions in Champagne trade associations.

In 2005 the Bollinger family bought this fine estate, with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. This was the start of a resurgence for Champagne Ayala, with the complete restoration of winemaking facilities and the arrival of new staff, yet keeping the family spirit of its origins, and reinforcing the pillars forming the Ayala style: a pure expression of Chardonnay, the unique diversity of crus, bespoke blend, reserve wines and low dosage.
