An Iconic wine of the Barossa valley – Immensely complex and powerful, this wine is from classic old vine Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Barossa Valley Estate (BVE) was formed in 1984 by 80 grape growers who formed a co-operative to produce their own wine. Each year, the group carefully hand picks the finest Shiraz grapes (with an average of of 60 years old vines) for their renowned E & E Black Pepper Shiraz. Matured for 18 months in French and American oak of which 25% is new. E&E is the winemaker’s classification benchmark, for the selection of fruit that exhibit those rare Black Pepper Shiraz characters and concentrations of fruit flavours found in exceptional years.

Terrific, savoury and juicy, an unctuous blend of blackberry, plum and kirsch flavors that are generous, plump and smooth, showing plenty of power and intensity. An appealing cream soda edge lingers on the finish, adding roundness to the thick, velvety tannins. This full-bodied Shiraz finishes with dried herbs and fleshy black plum. Supple and smooth. An extraordinary wine with a remarkable depth of flavour, dark fruit intensity, a silky richness, and stunning black pepper spice. Pair with ribeye steak.
