The estate, mainly located in Mouliets and Villemartin south of Castillon-la-Bataille, is near a large Gaulish archaeological site. This area was apparently a major strategic trading crossroads for river and road traffic. In those days, wine was imported from Campania, Italy, in amphorae.

The wine is a lovely, intense cherry-red colour, with brilliant, youthful highlights. The pleasant, fruity bouquet is evocative of glaced cherries and stewed prunes. The wine is well-balanced and powerful on the palate. A good level of soft tannins gives this wine good ageing potential. Best served at cool room temperature: 17a°-18a° C. This wine is already enjoyable to drink with grilled red meat, delicatessen meats, and medium-strong cheeses.

Chateau Moulin de Pourquey is a familial estate for three generations. It is located is Casteviel, 50 kilometers South-East of Bordeaux on a sandy-clay soil. Cuvee la salle is made with the main grapes of Bordeaux. The wine of Chateau Moulin de Pourquey has a beautiful red burgundy dress with garnets notes. The nose spread violet aromas. Fine and supple this wine reveals on the palate a round and smooth body. Served at 13a°/15a°C, it will be delicious to accompany cooked meats, roasted meat and grilled fish.
