Famille Perrin 'Les Sinards' Chateauneuf-du-Pape White
Les Sinards White comes from an area called ‘Clos du Chateau‘, in the village of Chateauneuf du Pape. The rare 2.5-hectare vineyard is located right around the historical pope’s palace, and all of the viticulture is carried out by the Beaucastel team. The alcoholic fermentation and the malolactic fermentation were carried out in 600-litre demi-muids, with the lees being stirred once a week for three months.
This wine has a nice nose with notes of white flesh fruit and citrus fruit. The palate is tense, iodized, with aromas of apricot and a delicately buttered elegant finish. The flavors focus on toasted almonds and lees, hay and herbs, with the scent of warm rocks on a hot day. A high percentage of clairette gives it zest, as well as the backbone to age well over the next decade.
