Reki is a whisky produced by the Helios distillery in Okinawa . While the company is famous and appreciated above all for its rums and its awamori (a type of rice-based drink only produced in Okinawa), this whisky is produced in very limited quantities mixing malts aged from 3 to 18 years in American barrels. Fruity, nuanced smoky flavor with dish character, hints of dried apricots, orange, heather honey, licorice root, herbs and vanilla. Served at room temperature.
