Jacob’s Creek ‘Double Barrel – Irish Whiskey Finish’ Cabernet Sauvignon
Double Barrel is finished in aged whiskey barrels for a richer, deeper, and smoother taste. The Double Barrel range is crafted from superior quality grapes which are first matured in traditional wine barrels. Then, using our unique Double Barrel technique, they are finished in aged whisk(e)y barrels to build additional layers of complexity.
Vibrant cassis aromas with mint, dark olive and caramel notes. Tannins are evident at first, before giving way to a mid-palate filled with ripe cassis, olive tapenade and complex briary hints.
In 1847, along the banks of Jacob’s Creek, Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard. His vision was to create great tasting wines that reflect the true character of the grapes and the land. To this day we live and breathe this vision by producing wines that showcase how each grape variety expresses itself when shaped by the soil and the sun of Australia.
The story of Jacob’s Creek is a story of people, places and passion. A 167-year history of Gramp & Sons that first began when a Bavarian immigrant missed the taste of wine from his homeland so much, he decided to start growing grapes. Discover our passion for winemaking and our journey to becoming one of Australia’s best wine producers.
