The Chateau Laroze belongs to family Meslin since 1610. In 2010, to mark the four centuries of their presence on the land Laroze Guy Meslin decided to honor women who have helped to preserve the family estate with a new wine called ‘Lady Laroze’ – he estate 3rd label. The vineyard spreads over 27 hectares and is located at the bottom of the hill northwest of Saint Emilion. Harvest is manual and the vinification is traditional with control of temperatures. The wine is ageing in oak barrels of French oak. What strikes first is the fresh aromatic bouquet emiting from the glass while the wine is being poored. The wine has a deep red colour. The aromatic intensity is remarquable. The nose is very fresh and pur, dominated by cabernet Franc that emits fresh aromas of liquorice, mint and spices. On the mouth, the attack is fresh and attractive. It has a lot of charm and character, aromatic power with soft tanins that offer a great volume. The finale is marked by a fresh and sapid aromatic taste that lingers. The tanins soften and the finale gets longer with some time to air the glass. Andreas Larsson: 89Pts
