Following the Angelus philosophy, the Carillon d’Angelus 2017 has been developed with the utmost respect for its terroir through perfectly precise vinifications and aging that are adapted to express each variety. The blend pays tribute to the Right Bank’s black grape variety, so the Carillon d’Angelus 2017 expresses all the smoothness and opulence of Merlot (90%) with the elegance of Cabernet Franc (10%) that brings finesse to distinguish the wine. With its beautiful dark color, the Carillon d’Angelus 2017 instantly charms with its bewitching aromatic bouquet. The nose discovers ample and pure fresh fruit aromas. The palate starts with a sumptuous attack that reveals the magnitude of the vintage’s personality. The generous concentration extends to a powerful finish that ends in elegance and harmony. The history of Chateau Angelus is a family history. The estate is located at less than a miles of the renown church tower of Saint-Emilion in the heart of a amphitheater. The owners of the estate have been the Boüard de Laforest family for 8 generations. In 1996 Chateau Angelus became Premier Cru Classe de Saint-Emilion and is now renown worldwide. Its recent promotion as Premier Grand Cru Classe “A”, the elite, will only confirm this fame. Today, personified by Stephanie de Boüard-Rivoal, this new direction brought Chateau Angelus to the next level.
